Bright Kanyama is a sports journalist and commentator with over a decade of experience, widely regarded as one of Malawi’s most distinguished voices in football and sports business. He joined Zodiak Broadcasting Station in 2019, where he continues to thrive as a sports journalist and football commentator. Known for his in-depth analysis, engaging commentary, and dynamic broadcasting style, he has earned multiple accolades throughout his career. In 2022, he was runner-up for the TNM Super League Best Commentator and won Best Radio Presenter for the National Bank MO 626 Basketball Challenge. In 2023, he was named Best Commentator for the TNM Super League and Best Television and Radio Presenter for the Chipiku Premier League. His 2024 honors include National Bank MO 626 Best Radio Reporter, runner-up in the Electronic Category at the Malawi National Council of Sports Awards, and runner-up for TNM Super League Best Commentator, while also finishing in the top three at the Malawi Sport Awards. He was previously named TNM Super League Commentator of the Year in 2021 and 2023 and has consistently ranked among the best in Malawi’s sports media industry. In December 2025, he wrote, narrated, and produced one of the most powerful sports special features to air on Zodiak Broadcasting Station, titled *“Checkmate: How Chess Is Changing Lives in Malawi’s Prisons.”
