Special Olympics Malawi MBZ Unified Champion Schools Program

The Malawi MBZ Unified Champion Schools Program by Malawi Special Olympics promotes inclusion and teamwork, breaking down discrimination against persons with disabilities in schools and communities.

In 2025, over 131 athletes were trained as Unified Leaders, and the program hosted nine district competitions and one national competition.

From these events, 20 athletes qualified for the Region 5 Youth Games in Namibia, while alumni like Temwa Simbeye and Jason Kadzeye now serve on the Special Olympics Africa Region Council of Youth Leaders.

A shining example of leadership, inclusion, and sports development — Unified Champion Schools Program.
