In 2024 Cricket Malawi had a very productive year with the following achievements.
1. Malawi Women’s U19s won undefeated the ICC Women’s U19s World Cup Africa Division 2 Qualifiers
2. Malawi Women’s U19s qualified for the ICC Women’s U19s World Cup Africa Division 1 Qualifiers for the first time in its history
3. Malawi Men’s Senior Team qualified for the final of the Kenya Quad T20 Cup and finished Runners Up
4. Malawi Men’s Senior Team came second in the ICC World T20 Africa Div 2 Grp A qualifier and progressed to the ICC World T20 Africa Division 1 Qualifiers in 2025 for the first time in its history
5. Cricket Malawi expanded its domestic leagues to 15 from 4 in 2019.
7. The Cricket Academy expanded to 442 schools, with 905 teachers accredited as beginner level coaches and reached out to 24,530 children.
