At Just 14 years old, Tasunje Mkavea has already proven to be Malawi’s swimming prodigy having been medaled at the 2024 Africa Aquatics Zone Championships winning Silver in the 200m breaststroke, bronze in the 200m Butterfly, and a Bronze in the 4x50m freestyle relay. He stunned viewers during the 2024 National Swimming Championship when he won gold in all 13 different events he competed in while beating his personal best records.
